Job title: Scientist II, Process Development
Alex Sabogal earned his B.A. and Ph.D. at U.C. Berkeley and used X-ray crystallography and Biochemistry as tools for his Ph.D. thesis, working with mentors Tracy Handel, Susan Marqusee, James Berger and Don Rio. In previous roles, he setup and developed both mAb and AAV purification and analytic capabilities for the cell line development company Celltheon, as well as developed scale-down models of rFVIII commercial purification processes as the lead for the global MSAT purification lab group at Bayer, Berkeley. He is currently responsible for purification process development at Bolt Biotherapeutics in Redwood City, CA. His life goal is to help as many people as possible by understanding and curing diseases at the molecular level, and Bolt became a natural fit with their ISAC (immune-stimulating antibody complex) technology.
