Dae-Shik Kim

Dae Shik Kim is a chemist with extensive experience in drug discovery and development across oncology, neurology, and immunology. As a Senior Principal Scientist at Eisai Inc., he has led programs from early research through clinical introduction, leveraging a rare combination of medicinal chemistry and process/CMC expertise. His work spans small molecules, macrocycles, antisense oligonucleotides, and antibody–drug conjugates. His achievements include inventing the STING agonist E7766, developing a new synthetic route to eribulin, advancing stereopure ASO chemistry, and optimizing ADC linker–payload designs. Dr. Kim earned his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and completed postdoctoral training at Harvard University.
