Tara Arvedson
Chief Scientific Officer Hexagon Bio
Tara Arvedson is Chief Scientific Officer at Hexagon Bio, where she leads scientific strategy across a platform integrating natural products, computational biology, medicinal chemistry and translational biology to develop novel oncology therapeutics. While at Hexagon Bio, Tara has guided the generation of Hexagon Bio’s first development candidate, an anti-HER2 antibody-drug conjugate that uses a novel translation inhibitor payload, which exhibits strong antitumor activity in resistant settings and a favorable differentiated safety profile.
Prior to Hexagon Bio, Tara spent nearly 20 years at Amgen, most recently as Executive Director of Oncology Research and Global Fastlane Network Lead. She led Amgen’s T-cell engager strategy and portfolio, including bispecific antibodies and immuno-oncology assets, and was a key scientific leader on the discovery of Lumakras (sotorasib), the first-in-class KRAS G12C inhibitor now approved for KRAS-mutant cancers.
